2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1 Release and Autograph Guide

2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1 is scheduled for release October 15. The product combines Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, cars, teams, principals, and legends across a 200-subject base set, supported by Chrome inserts, Refractors, and a 100-subject autograph program.

Verified October 3, 2026 using the official Topps Chrome Formula 1 page, Topps release calendar, and official checklist linked by Topps. Dates, formats, and availability can change.

What is inside the 200-subject base checklist

Topps describes a broad checklist covering F1 drivers, F2 drivers, F3 drivers, F1 cars, legends, team duos, team logos, team principals, race winners, Driver of the Day subjects, and other award content. That variety makes the card number and checklist section as important as the person or team named in a listing.

The Formula 1 driver group reflects an expanded 22-driver grid. Arvid Lindblad is marked as a rookie in the official checklist and is also connected to the release's one-of-one F1 Debut Patch Autograph.

The Refractor ladder

Topps names a numbered parallel sequence that includes Blue, Green, Purple, Gold, Orange, Black, Red, one-of-one SuperFractors, and Printing Plates. New Full Grid Refractors are numbered to 22 and feature the current F1 driver lineup.

Color can shift under lighting and screen processing. Confirm the printed serial number, card back, visible pattern, and seller description before assigning a parallel. The existence of a one-of-one tier does not mean every subject has the same checklist coverage in every parallel family.

Inserts collectors will search for

Confirmed insert groups include:

• Speed Wheels, a 22-subject concept inspired by the 1975 Topps Speed Wheels collection;
• Austin to Mexico City, covering the back-to-back races and their locations;
• Helmet Collection and Dancing in the Rain;
• Futuro, Genesis, The Grid, Helix, and Abu Dhabi At Night;
• Chrome Anime; and
• Art Du Grand Prix, a five-subject art-led insert.

Search and price each insert by exact name. “Case hit,” “rare,” and similar seller language should be checked against official odds rather than accepted from a title alone.

The 100-subject autograph program

Topps states that the autograph collection spans 100 racing subjects across F1, F2, F3, team principals, and legends, with more on-card F1 autographs than in earlier editions. The official checklist contains multiple autograph categories, including Chrome Autographs and race-podium combination cards.

The product page also highlights Arvid Lindblad's one-of-one F1 Debut Patch Autograph and the return of the Grail program. A debut patch autograph, standard Chrome autograph, and multi-person autograph are different card types and should not be used as direct comparisons.

Hobby, Mega, and Value listings

The earlier preorder offered Hobby through EQL and Mega and Value through Topps.com. When comparing marketplace offers, confirm the exact format shown. Do not assume the pack count, guarantees, exclusives, or autograph availability are identical across all three.

For singles, inspect Chrome surfaces for scratches, print lines, dimples, edge issues, and centering. Our raw card condition guide gives a step-by-step review process.
