2026 Topps Inception Football Checklist and Box Guide

Research the 200-card Inception Football checklist, 50 rookies, autograph and relic families, November 6 date, and First Day Issue distinction.

The official 2026 Topps Inception Football checklist confirms 200 base cards, including 50 rookies, and Topps currently lists November 6 as the release date. It also identifies the exact subjects in the set's autograph and autograph-relic families.

What the available documents do not establish is just as important. The live product page does not publish the standard Hobby-box configuration, and the Topps odds directory did not contain a 2026 Inception Football odds sheet when checked October 27. The First Day Issue details on the page belong to that separate early format and should not be converted into standard-Hobby guarantees.

This guide updates our earlier Inception Football release overview and belongs to the November 4-11 release hub and football cards hub.

Official sources checked October 27, 2026. Topps says checklist contents reflect the intended production configuration but actual contents and odds may vary. The hero integrates official Topps preview cards into original CardBoard Report blueprint artwork for editorial identification; pictured cards are not store inventory.

Release date and official checklist

The current Topps Inception Football product page and Topps release calendar list Friday, November 6. Topps warns that dates are subject to change, so recheck the live page before making purchase or shipping plans.

Topps links the official 2026 Inception Football checklist. Use that PDF for card numbers, checklist codes and team lines rather than a seller-created summary.

The 200-card base set

The checklist divides the base set into two sections:

  • cards 1-150 are the veteran base section; and
  • cards 151-200 are explicitly marked Rookie.

That creates a 50-card rookie portion. Selected first-year entries include:

Card Player Checklist team
151 Fernando Mendoza Las Vegas Raiders
152 Ty Simpson Los Angeles Rams
153 Garrett Nussmeier Kansas City Chiefs
154 Drew Allar Pittsburgh Steelers
155 Carson Beck Arizona Cardinals
158 Jeremiyah Love Arizona Cardinals
165 Carnell Tate Tennessee Titans
167 Makai Lemon Philadelphia Eagles
185 Kenyon Sadiq New York Jets
192 Caleb Downs Dallas Cowboys

The table is a research starter, not a value ranking. Team assignments reflect the manufacturer checklist checked October 27. Record the printed product, card number and team before comparing a single.

Launch and Rookie Short Prints use separate codes

The checklist gives Launch cards codes L-1 through L-25 and Rookie Short Prints codes RSP-1 through RSP-25. Both sections use the same 25 rookie subjects in the same order, but they remain separate card families.

Examples include Carson Beck at L-1 and RSP-1, Fernando Mendoza at L-10 and RSP-10, and Ty Simpson at L-11 and RSP-11. A player name alone is not enough to identify the card.

For listings, save the full code and request a clear back image. Our card identification guide explains how year, product, number and version work together.

Autograph families to identify

The official PDF separates multiple autograph sections. Important examples include:

Checklist family Code prefix What to verify
Rookie Autographs RA- Rookie subject and exact parallel
Rookie Autograph Variations RAV- Variation versus standard rookie autograph
Inception Silver Signings ISS- Subject, numbering and any inscription
Dawn of Greatness Autographs DGA- Veteran or retired-player subject
Immersion Autographs IA- New named autograph design
Charged Particles CP- Exact player and parallel
Dual Rookie Autographs DRA- Both rookies paired on the card

Topps' product page says rare Silver Signings one-of-one versions can carry inscriptions. Do not apply that description to every Silver Signings card. Confirm the serial stamp and inscription on the actual item.

The Dual Rookie Autographs checklist includes team pairings such as Carson Beck with Jeremiyah Love, Drew Allar with Germie Bernard, Garrett Nussmeier with Emmett Johnson, and Ty Simpson with Max Klare.

Autograph relics and thick-card storage

The checklist's autograph-relic portion includes Provenance Patch Autographs, Rookie Jumbo Relic Autographs, Dual Rookie Relic Autographed Books and NFL First Milestone Autograph Relics.

Topps' product page previews the Rookie Jumbo Relic design as a rookie patch autograph. Its first-party collector guide describes the memorabilia as player-worn. For any individual card, read the exact authentication statement printed on that card rather than assuming every relic in the release uses the same material language.

Relic windows, book construction and Inception's substantial card stock may require different holders. Measure the actual card instead of forcing it into a standard top loader; use our card-thickness and point-size guide.

First Day Issue is not the standard Hobby box

Topps promoted a separate First Day Issue auction format before the main release. The live page states that its box contains seven cards in one pack, including one autograph, one exclusive Patch Auto numbered to 22, two parallels and two exclusive parallels numbered to 18.

Those are First Day Issue statements. The current page does not give the standard Hobby-box pack count or hit guarantee. If a seller advertises the First Day Issue configuration for an ordinary Hobby box, ask for the product identifier and manufacturer source.

Odds are still unpublished on the directory

As checked October 27, Topps' official odds directory does not list a 2026 Inception Football odds sheet. The checklist confirms subjects and card families; it does not provide pull rates or print runs.

Topps names Gold Electricity and Hot Pink as new parallels. Its first-party collector guide describes Gold Electricity as numbered to 50 and Hot Pink as numbered to 35. Verify the parallel name and visible serial stamp on the card, and wait for a matching odds sheet before making pack-rate claims.

A safer buying plan

For a box, confirm that the offer is standard Hobby or First Day Issue, then verify the year, seal, quantity, shipment terms and total delivered cost. Do not confuse a break spot with a sealed box.

For a single, record:

  1. player or player pair;
  2. checklist family and code;
  3. parallel and serial number;
  4. autograph or relic type;
  5. front, back, surface, corners and edges; and
  6. the card's own memorabilia statement when applicable.

Use our raw card condition guide and sports-card price research guide to keep exact matches separate from broader examples.

The disclosed eBay searches below can return presales, break spots, older Inception products or mislabeled cards. Inspect the entire offer. You can also browse our current football listings or use the auction finder; this upcoming release is not assumed to be in stock.

Next step: download the Topps PDF, choose one rookie and one checklist family, and recheck the November 6 product page before buying.
