To redeem a Topps card, sign in to Topps.com, open your redemption account, and submit the concealed code. Check eligibility first, especially when buying an older redemption. The paper card represents a claim for a completed collectible that was not inserted into the original product; it is not the completed collectible itself. Topps explains this distinction in its redemption program terms.
This guide belongs to our collecting guides hub. It covers submission and buying checks, rather than predicting when a particular autograph will arrive.

How to submit a Topps redemption code
The official Topps redemption instructions describe this process:
- Sign in to an existing Topps.com account or create one.
- Open the Redemptions section and create or verify your redemption account.
- Confirm your shipping address and account information.
- Carefully reveal the code beneath the scratch-off covering, enter it, and submit.
Save your submission confirmation and a private record of the card description. Keep the code out of public listing photos and social posts. Record the product year, player, autograph or relic designation, parallel, and any stated numbering so you can compare the eventual card with your claim.
Do Topps redemption cards expire?
Yes. The current Topps terms distinguish two groups:
- Cards released before January 1, 2022: submit by the expiration printed on the redemption card.
- Products dated on the card as 2021/2022 or the 2022 season and later: codes are valid for ten total years under the extended policy.
Do not assume every old redemption qualifies. For an eligible card showing an earlier printed deadline, ask Topps to confirm the applicable submission window. The terms do not offer redemption of an expired code outside the stated extension.
Before buying, request a legible description and product-year photo with the code concealed. If the season or deadline is ambiguous, resolve it with Topps before paying.
What if the code has already been used or will not work?
Topps allows each code to be redeemed once. Its program terms advise contacting customer service to confirm validity when an entry is rejected; unreadable codes have a separate mail-in process.
Use the current instructions from Topps before mailing anything. Save your photos and support correspondence first. A seller calling a card “unredeemed” does not independently establish whether its code will be accepted.
How long will the completed card take?
Topps' redemption reports page asks collectors to allow 15 weeks for processing and shipment. It also explains that recently completed cards listed in a report still go through quality checks before shipment.
Treat that as published guidance, not a promised arrival date for your card. Match the exact description in your account and any report, then contact Topps about an unresolved claim. Before accepting a substitution, read the current substitution terms and ask what would happen to your original claim.
Ship home or send to the Fanatics Collect vault?
The Topps Ship to Vault FAQ says newly submitted redemptions from May 15, 2026 onward are eligible for the delivery choice, including codes from older products. Collectors can select home delivery or their Fanatics Collect vault; vault delivery requires a Fanatics Collect account and Vault ID.
Topps says an eligible delivery preference can be changed only during a limited window before it locks. For vaulted cards, it gives collectors three days from the vault confirmation email to inspect images and report concerns to Fanatics Collect Support.
Choose the destination you actually want and watch for confirmation messages. Recheck the FAQ and account flow before submitting rather than relying on an older screenshot.
Before buying an unredeemed card on eBay
Use these checks as a purchase worksheet:
| Check | What to establish before paying |
|---|---|
| Exact item | A physical unredeemed claim card, an already completed collectible, or another type of offer |
| Identity | Product year, player, set, parallel, and redemption wording |
| Eligibility | The applicable deadline and any unresolved question for Topps |
| Code handling | Clear photos with the concealed code protected |
| Fulfillment | What the seller will ship and what remains a separate Topps claim |
| Comparison | The same redemption type, with completed-card comparisons kept separate |
Our card identification guide helps build that exact description. Use the price research guide to compare like items without treating an asking price as a completed sale.
For product context, continue to our 2026 Topps Update checklist guide. A product checklist is useful research, but it does not verify a seller's code or your fulfillment date.
Start with the official redemption account if you already hold a claim card. If you are shopping, use the disclosed searches below with your worksheet, or visit our shop to browse the store's current listings. Confirm the exact item and submission eligibility before committing to a redemption purchase.
