2026 Topps Holiday Football: Release Date, Checklist and Mega Box Guide

2026 Topps Holiday Football is scheduled for Friday, October 23 at 1 p.m. Eastern, or noon Central. The current Topps product page and U.S. release calendar agree on that date and time, checked October 19, 2026. Topps says dates can change.

Use the current October release schedule

Plan around the date on the live product page and recheck it before ordering. A scheduled release is a planning reference, not a promise that your order will arrive that day.

Topps' Mega Box case listing also identifies October 23 as the product release date. Its preorder terms explicitly say arrival on release day is not guaranteed. If buying a gift, check the seller's shipment terms and leave time for delivery.

What is confirmed inside a Mega Box?

The same official case listing specifies 10 cards per pack and 10 packs per box, or 100 cards per Mega Box by multiplication. It identifies 20 boxes per sealed case. Keep those quantities separate when comparing offers.

Its overview tells collectors to look for Base Holiday Variation Short Prints. That is chase wording, not a stated autograph or relic guarantee. Do not budget as though a signature is promised in every box.

Before paying, record:

• Whether the offer is one sealed Mega Box, a case, loose packs or a break spot.
• The stated pack count and quantity of boxes.
• Whether photographs show the item being sold or a product illustration.
• The seller's shipping window and total cost including shipping and tax.

Start your checklist with the base rookies

Topps' October 9 collector guide describes a 200-card base set with 150 veterans and 50 rookies. The official downloadable checklist gives collectors these starting points:

Holiday Back, Holiday Spirit and Hidden Elf are different sections

The checklist PDF separates Base and Rookies Holiday Back Variation Short Prints from Base and Rookies Holiday Spirit Variation. Hidden Elf has its own HE-numbered entries, while Snow Globe Moments uses SBM and Deck the Fields uses DF.

One official-source discrepancy needs care: the Topps collector guide mentions Mendoza under Rookie Holiday Spirit Variations, but the linked PDF lists his No. 151 under Rookies Holiday Back Variation Short Prints. Its Rookie Holiday Spirit section instead includes names such as Garrett Nussmeier and Kenyon Sadiq. Treat Mendoza's Holiday Spirit status as unresolved rather than using the editorial preview to authenticate a seller's description.

For any variation purchase, match the exact checklist section, card number and actual photographs. A title saying only "Holiday SP" leaves too much unspecified.

Autograph content does not establish a box guarantee

The official product preview describes Dear Santa as an autograph relic subset with a holiday-letter design. It also previews Hidden Elf imagery and rookie Holiday Spirit designs. Those features explain what the product includes across its checklist; they do not establish what any particular box contains.
